    Broken piston

Does anyone know if a piston can break from just normal wear. I have a broken piston on a 1995 polaris 750 slt. The cylinder is scratch free. I am wondering if I could just simply replace the broken piston without any crank repair.

I think we need some pics to diagnose your failure.

Wild guess out of left field.
The crank is bent and piston broken due to water ingestion through the bad seat seal.
