Warning to Palm Beach County FL Riders
a guy got killed last Sunday on Lake Osborne. Now the police are promising
heavy enforcement activities aimed at PWC riders.
I rode last Sat on Lake Ida, mentioned in article. Will be my last time
for this year.......

Man that sucks. Whats crazy is lake ozborne has about 2 or more police boats on the water all the time. There is two places on that lake that they have offices on. They are really strict there. Been pulled over last year there just to check reg and what not. On lake ida i have yet to see a officer on the water and i feel that lake gets busy. Sometimes to busy.

Yeah Osbourne and Idah get congested. There is alot of traffic on both lakes..
Sucks there is no other large lakes in the area. People from all over go there. Idah in the morning is nice though. Before the masses get there.
Been out lately Adam?

Why does everybody ride in lakes when you have such a beautiful ocean and the intercoastel to ride in? Get away from the crowds! Head up to the Stuart area- wide open running.

Cops on Lake Ida Sat
BSO water cops pulled up to the shore and asked my son his
age as he was sitting on Jetski. He replied 14 and they asked
if he had boater card. He said yes (he does) and they moved on.
People on shore near ramp (on east side) were drinking beer. Reg
cops pulled up and told them to pour it out and stop. One of
the wild, crazy eyed, revelers (jk, he had 3 kids and a wife) tried
to shake cops hand and he backed up like he had the plague.
God help you if you've had any alcohol............
Broward and Palm Beach are off my list for riding areas.
Last weekend at Crandon Marina in Key Biscayne I was warned
by passerby that they changed the rules on the no wake zone
for area directly in front of channel entrance. It's a huge area,
no real signage to tell you what's what. Manatee is the excuse
this time. Coming back in my aging eagle eyes spotted the water
cops on the side waiting. Slowed down no incident.....but just
more police pressure.

areas, i.e. canals, lakes, etc that you can open 'em up??
I do like these lakes for the fresh water, seems like my Kawa likes to get
a fresh water bath once in a while! But I agree, with a 70mph craft these
are small areas, you run out of room quick. That's why I like the Keys, lots of places to let 'er go........

St Lucie Inlet(stuart), and to an extent Jupiter Inlet are some of the best areas in the state(imo)
