Should my 03 Stage 1 be faster then 02 completly stock

Hey guys I have an 03 gpr with stage 1, removed the free flow and it has reed stuffers and plates removed out of air box and a riva filter. My buddy's 02 GPR, completly stock, is as fast or at least almost as fast as mine. My brother has a STX 15 and he eats me out of the hole and I can go by him by 1 mph. Thanks again, Donald

I dont know much about the stage one but I'm pretty sure it should that stock you should be faster than a stock 02. and the stage 1 should make you faster than before. do you have a tach? RPMs and GPS?

    GPS on a stage 1 03 1300 should be upper 60's.

IMO- yes you should be faster but can't find the problem without some numbers.

How many hours are on each... How much diff in weight load (people, fuel, stuffs)?

The highest #s I have hit is 65.1 gps but usually 63. I don't have aftermarket tach, but the stock tach barely shows 7000 ( goes on and off the mark ). I weigh 200lbs and my friend is the same. There's a little over 120 hrs. on mine and his is about the same. There's about 40 hrs with stage 1 kit. Donald

what are all your mods ?
what RPM's are you running ?
have you done a compression check ?

His is completly stock. I never did an actual compression test but there's enough in each cylinder to blow your finger out of the hole. Donald

You need to do a compression test and confirm that your power valves are opening all the way. You should be way faster than what you are running.
