    what wax/cleaner do you use?

I'm not trying to start a flame war (ie: which oil is the best)...

What do you guys use to polish up your skis?

Mine need a coat of somethin... I took the warning decals off and you can see where they were.

I also want to put some new registration numbers on but want to clean the areas where the old ones were.

To get glue residue off from the decals, use a little carburator cleaner on a rag but STAY AWAY FROM PLASTIC! Only on the hull or it will turn the plastic white. On plastic, I use Meguires sealer and glaze. I also use this on the rest of the hull. Use this first then on top of that add a coat of meguires wax. That will give it a great shine and it will last for a while.

For all the plastic and windscreen Plexis is a must!! It will make everything look like new and doesn't leave any slime. Most cycle shops have it.

For the white hulls pretty much any good quality cleaner wax works good but on the Black hulls I would go with Busch black wax. It will hid all the small scratches and not leave any chaulky residue.

    Thanks guys...

I don't have any sticker goo, just the black line (dirt) around it... any soap should clean it up... I just want to do a full clean/wax on it.

I ordered a can of Plexus a week or so ago, I've heard mixed reviews on it so I'll try it myself.

It's a white hull ( XLT 1200)... so I'll go pickup some wax (or probably have some in the garage) to use.

Whats the best method for filling in nicks/scratches? and is it the same on the top side of the hull as it is on the bottom?

FastWax, there is NO substitute. It's like Honda polish but better and way cheaper. I've been using in on cars (touch ups), motorcycles, jetskis, etc for 6 years. It's safe on glass, rubber, wheels, paint, basically any service. Don't wait, buy your can today!

I would say Marine Tex. That stuff is da bomb. I used it to repair my hull when my 2 rear pump shoe inserts ripped right out of the hull leaving 2 nice quarter roll sized holes in my hull. piece of shit

For all painted surfaces I like NuFinish (orange bottle) polymer. Just follow the directions.

Thanx Duke, I use Plexus on my tinted windows but never thought to try it on the screen.

Works great on all the plastic and moldings too.
