    need thermostat

    hey guys riva has backorded the158 degree thermostat is there an alternative,, and who and where inquiring minds want to know???

    Rotax Racing. It is more money but bolt on and go. Riva uses your old housing and it has to be pressed. I think people have trouble with them leaking.

    Jerry has them in the online store. They are $258.00 I think that is what mine was.

    thats the whole housing cant just by the thermostat???? WTF

    No, you can't get just the thermo. The entire housing is provided by Rotax Racing. With the Riva thermo is a kit to open up your existing housing and replace the actual thermostat itself.

    They don't leak. Riva's are bad about leaking when you press the oem housing back together with the Riva thermostat. Its not much fun on the R&R from the ski either with the mess of antfreeze in the hull that is still in the lines and the skint knuckles. A one time swap is worth the extra $ IMO

    What about running no thermo? Isn't HOSS doing that? What results is he getting?

    Was doing good. I think now running the S3 and the stock intercooler is a bit much with no thermo. I`ll find out for sure when I get the ski back together as I may have found my prob. I never had an issue without running one before S3 charger. My advice,,,,run a thermo!
