    Big Bore/Ported Speed List

Being so many options for going big bore and ported I was hoping those with these setups could post their bore, who did the porting (if any), and the speeds you are running. I know some may not want to relinquish that info and that is fine.

If you don't mind playing along, please list:

    -Displacement
-(Y/N) Porting and done by who
    -Speed Numbers

Any additional opinions on various setups would be great.

I plan on doing something over the winter and just want to gather as much info as I can. Thanks fellas

What I was hoping to find through this is basically how a ported 1300 compares to a ported 1390.

It seems there a quite a few 80 mph ported 1300's. Rarely do you hear of 80+ mph ported 1390's. Ross may be the first I can remember actually.

Is this because there are more ported 1300's than 1390's or is the 1300 actually a better more efficient motor than a ported 1390?

    Many more ported 1300's

Lowell just started experimenting with 1390's a little over a year ago. When I had him do the work on the 1300 I asked him about the 1390 and he told me he really didn't have enough data yet.

So I went 1300 to play it safe.

Not trying to jack the thread but I wouldn't mind here which is more reliable of setups also. Also maybe a price comparision if possible?

    Mpower,

I am thinking about doing the same thing this winter.

    Yeah, I have ridden 2 - 1390 boats. A Group K 1390 and a Kerry Hibdon EFI 1390.

If I keep my GPR, I have got to go big bore ported.

The Kerry boat I rode was nuts. I had bruises on my inner thighs from holding onto the seat in a semi-superman position.

Stock 1200's and 1300's are boys toys. You haven't experienced a GPR unless you have ridden a big bore/ported boat. It is unreal dude!

My boat is pretty quick on top end, but it doesnt have that RIP YOUR NUTS OFF RAW 2-STROKE IM GONNA BEAT YOUR MOMMA WITH A BAT PULL.

    Ditto!
Something about getting that 1200 over 70, now I want 80, bad.
I crunched the numbers and starting with the 1200 I have, it is much cheaper going ported bigbore than to start over with a new or slightly used 1300.
