Thumbs up Rotary Is The Future!!!

so ive been reading alot about the rx8 renesis rotary motor.... its got 250 HP with THREE moving parts!!!.......2 rotors and the output shaft.... a comparable piston 4-stroke having atleast 40!

..a one rotor engine delivers power for 3/4 of each revolution of the output shaft, unlike a single piston motor that powers only 1/4 of each shaft revolution....means smoother power

not to mention all the parts spin continuously in one direction, not violently changing directions like pistons

plenty of pros, but just a few cons....emissions arent up to standard(like we care) higher priced than piston engines(duh) consumes more fuel(haha)

simply amazing, this needs to get dropped into skis!! THIS IS THE FUTURE!! atleast thats how i feel

Lol, people have been saying that for years but those Rotary motors just keep on breaking.... Some of the RX8's even got a special thing saying, if something goes wrong with your motor will replace it with a crate motor.

Oh and they were saying 250 hp but it was over rated. Really only makes 215-230. Now the RX7's 13B Rotary Twin Turbo makes 280hp. I know some guys that mod those and they can be fast but unreliable after a period of time.

It's been done. There was a video years ago of a Sea Doo, I think, that had one in it. Loudest thing I've ever heard.

To heavy and no lowend torque. You would need some sort of CVT transmission.

What we really need is a hydrogen powered ski, think about it water is the primary source of fuel and there is plenty right? Or the alternative would be the Flux Capacitor, or even geo-thermal kinetic tranformator elctron static hydro-plutonic fluidizing shizinator!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OR o.k., the alternative would be a N.A.S.A. designed rocket/electromagnetic propulsion system.
