    Metal washers installed - FINALLY!!!

    Got metal washers installed today.
Had 138 hours on one ski and 150 hours on the other so I figured we had trusted those ceramics far enough. Funny thing, the guy that installed them for us is a member here, real nice guy named Ed, (Chezzy) I did not realize he won the MUDBUG 4 Stroke Top Speed 2nd Medium Trophy - 80.2 mph!!!

Funny thing, one dealer was real picky about the metal washers so I went back to the dealer where we bought the skiis, and they were totally different; told me they put them in all the time and as long as they did the work they would not void my warranty, they stand behind the work and the parts. So now I have 3 year extended B.E.S.T. warranties and a dealer I like. Soooo, of course now I'm thinkin about gettin Ed to hook us up with some speed mods.

I will be checking with my dealer to see if they would accomodate in the same way. If I can get the metal washers and warranty intact, I will jump on it as well.

REALLY like the tech at my dealership. Overall service group has been great and very helpful and willing to take the time with me.

Will let you know what I learn.

Those washers are REAL easy to change. I had them off the day I got them. Since theres no one in my area with washer changing experience I needed to know how to do this myself. BUT now I got to check the slip in mine (9lbs), with over 50 hours since the change it may be time for a shim or two...

Any dealer will warranty your ski with metal washers installed.
Only way your warranty is void is damage caused by the metal washer if they were to fail.

Wow you are lucky . I, well Green Hulk, changed mine @ 10 hrs. At least now you have piece of mind.

With so many hours did you replace the bearings or anything else?
