Yep!! Just be sure the fuel tank rubber straps tighten back up. Some guys put a length of 4" plastic pipe in its place to keep the fuel tank tight. I did on my GTX but on my RXT I just left the plastic intake in place but I did remove the hose.

Run the filter and run the water resistant element that goes on it. After riding in rough water and beating the ski up I've noticed that fiberglass dust has settled on it and junk from outside suck as cotton wood trees even though I ride with the seat and hood on. Don't take the chance of something silly getting into your SC and screwing it up. It's not hard to do with those fragile fan blades spinning at 40,000 + RPM.

go to pep boys and get a basic filter, one that has 4" opening and 2.5" adapters....then order up som 4" Kanaflex, like 10 ft.....install it and you will LOVE the response....thats what a majority of us are doing....

What Danny said....That's the best way for intake at the front of the ski. I dropped a screw down into mine before I put the filter on. Be sure to get the SS filter without a fiber filter. Less restrictive.

I would be interested in seeing how many RPM's you pick up by having it this way. If you pick up 100 there is no need for an after market filter. Granted, the end has no filter on it the way it is.
