    Hey guys what are you all torquing your pump bolts to on your Rxp's? Currently I set mine to 21 ft.

    No, just snug them up real good, then give them another 1/4 turn.

    2004 manual says:
    Pump => Shoe: 31 N*M / 23 lbf * ft using Blue loctite
    Venturi => Pump: 21 N*M / 16 lbf*ft using Blue loctite
    Prop: 80 N*M / 59 lbf*ft using Antisieze
    Nose Cone: 7.5 N*M / 66 lbf*in

    My major concerns are the huge difference that is between the 2001 specs and 2004 specs for Sea Doo's pumps. yes I know they are difference pumps all together. But the main thing that concerns me is the variance with the prop specs.

    2001 Manual Says:
    Pump => Shoe: 33 N*M / 24 lbf*ft using Blue loctite
    Venturi => Pump: 21 N*M / 16 lbf*ft using Blue loctite & Gasket Eliminator
    Prop: 110 N*M / 81 lbf*ft using Blue Loctite
    Nose Cone: 7.5 N*M / 66 lbf*in using Blue loctite & Gasket Eliminator

    So my questions is what are you guys torquing your RXP props to? and are you using any sort of loctite or just antisieze? I've just rebuilt my RXP to spec and about to do my GTX pump and this variance is making me causious since it's unusual that the high output machine requires a lower torque with no loctite?

    Also noticed that the manual recommends green loctite for the 2001 wear ring where the 2004 the wear ring is just a press fit, and for some you can get it in just by freezing.

    never really torqued the prop....

    however, judging by the fact that I needed a 3ft breaker bar, I would have to assume it was WAY higher than 59 ft/lbs...

    You are 100% CORRECT!!!! Don't ever go by that 59lb BS in the manual. I learned the hard way and almost sunk my GTX. My prop came loose way in the beginning and I paid a big price. I usually torque mine to 90 - 100 and there has never been a problem.
