Question Looking for GP1200 Perf. Parts

Hey all, I'm new to the board and I jsut bought a 98 GP1200 for $1300. Guy told me the carbs need rebuilt and it has a small hole in the hull up in the front. I had the ski out and from an idle, you have to keep feathering the gas to get it to take off. If you just mat it WOT from idle, it just putts at like 4 MPH, once it gets going its alright. Has anyone experienced this or know if it is in fact a carb problem? Also I'm looking to put a new impeller in, ride plate and grate. I found that stuff on Riva's website, can't find any engine parts there. Where can I find some engine mods? I think I will have to pull the motor out to fix the hull, so I was gonna do some mods while its apart.

Thanks in advance for all the help!

It definetly sounds like a carb problem. How fast are you wanting to go and how much money are you willing to spend? Post in the Old School section and others will chime in.
