Is this what my pump should look like?
This is from my 04 RXP. I sucked up some BIG rocks and had to replace my impeller.
I had to cut our the plastic fins and sand them down.
My question is....
Should the rubber stopper on my impeller (circled in the pics) be squished against my impeller like that?
My ski used to go 68.8 mph and now it will only do 66.7.
I just had the mettle washers replaced 6 hours ago.

not normal... take that off all-together or replace that POS stock one with a metal cone

I had a metal one come with my solas concord impeller.
where can you get just the metal nose cone by itself?
does jerry sell it? Or just get it from riva?
And does the metal nose cone from solas concord fit the stock impeller?
I'm assuming this is a stock impeller?

Most dont even run a nose cone. They say it is good for about half a mph to run without it. I didnt check but did run without one.

Is it just me or does the pump tunnel look like it was beat to hell also?

that's from him sanding the pump shoe fins out of there like he mentioned in his first post due to the rock damage

Looks like some one from Kawasaki did the silcone job around the pump shoe.

So if I take the nose cone off it won't do any damage?
Why is it there in the first place?
P.S. the flash really shows the flaws in the housing. It doesn’t look like that in normal light.

I dont know for sure but maybe taking out those fins is causing loss of speed.
