My 2006 RXP is under warranty and I use the recommended BRP oil. I prefer the use the OEM recommended oil in case I have an engine failure, "if" they do an oil analysis, I have "their" oil in it.

This has been a highly discussed topic and there are other lubrication products [Oils] out there that other members use that match or exceed the OEM specs. i.e.) Castrol, Amsoil, Mobil 1, ect.....

Also, the BRP oil is manufactured by Castrol specifically formulated for the 4-Tec Superchanged engine. There is a JASO MA rating that is important for the OEM supercharger.

Do a search over 4-tec oil and you'll find lots of discussion.

I have read the threads and it has really good info on Oil changes. So I started looking for oil prices and if there was kits out there that I could buy and I found https://www.jmcamper.com/sunshop/htm...-&-Filter.html had some good prices on oil and a filter! I just didn't want to pay $125 everytime I needed a oil change. Thanks for the help RX..

AFRXP--I have always used the Sea-Doo recommended oil in my 2004 RXP. I have over a hundred hours---using Sea-Doo oil and See-Doo filter my cost is under $43.00 including tax at my local Sea-Doo dealer. Dont understand a $125.00 price tag.
