The main difference is the RXT is a bigger ski (3-seater) and the RXP is a 2-seater.

I'm not an expert on the differences but even I might be able to add some value Here is what a quick comparison yields:
Basic major difference is size. The RXT is a 3 person craft at 130.3" and ~815lbs. The RXP is a 2 person craft at 120.9" and ~792lbs. The RXP/RXT 215 HP engines are near identical if not thoroughly identical. Performance comes down to a HP/lb and hull shape performance tradeoffs. There are a few options like VTS that might make a difference but for the most part unless you talk RXT LTD or WAKE the options are similar. The same Mod if you plan on modding will produce better performance in the RXP than the RXT do to size and weight differences.
The ~$800 is for the 3rd person

For me, that depends on your use... - If you mainly ride into the sea, so don't hesitate with the RXT!!! - It's much more efficient and stable into waves...

If you mostly ride into lakes, the RXP will be the best choice...

If the lake is rough at all, go for the RXT. I can cruise full speed across the lake in 1 - 2 foot chop, stay hooked and stay topped out. That would be brutal on an RXP. If your water is real smooth, the RXP will be faster and more fun. If you are ever going to ride with more than 1 person, go with the RXT - it is much more stable while sitting on it, etc. Whenever I see 2-up on an RXP, they seem to always be tipping over while stopped.

    Ask Shibby, he's had both.
