Thumbs up 70mph club (filling up the holes) ANY IDEAS?

I first off want to appologize for not being my true self in the past. I've had a lot of issues going on with me and other things. I will hope that everyone will forget about the past and think about me for who I am now. I have had a lot of help in bettering myself through the lord and very good friends and family.

    Now on with my progress

I have a lot of things installed and procedures done to the boat (thanks to all of your people's help on this one) I recently went to the local hardware store and bought some of the JB underwater weld. With that product I used it to fill in the holes for the rideplate, trim tabs and pump shoe and fill in the void where the "hook" is. I'm yet another person added to this fourm that agrees with the fact that filling all of these holes you will see an increase in speed. These were my #'s to where I am now (it's not that I didn't believe anyone, I just wanted to see if for myself.)

THESE ARE CURRENT DOG DAYS OF SUMMER #'S
    old #'s : 69.3mph @ around 7,100 to 7,250 (sorry no mini tach.)
    NOW
new #'s : 71.3mph @ same rpm reading (again sorry, I'm going off my digital tach. I know that's not a good read at all for RPM)

These are all of the things done to my boat and want any idea from readers to what else I can do next strickly for top end::

    Customized myself Riva rideplate
    stepped OEM sponsons
Riva GP1300R top end loader grate
    Riva pump shoe insert
    14/21Set Back Solas Concord impeller
    customized OEM trim tabs
    Riva D plate
    Riva Power filter
Riva free flow exhaust (I want to keep this on the boat)
Riva performance cylinder head kit for stage 2
87mm reduction nozzle (I want to keep this on the boat, remove siphon tube)
    R&D reed stuffers
    WaveEater couplers and clips
holes in storage bucket and hood screens on both sides removed
filled holes trim tabs, rideplate, pump shoe and the "hook"
dumping cylinder #3 water overboard on own line

Anyone please respond. I'm willing to add something else for top end in the summer of '08 but want to go about it the right way.

    Wink

    Welcome back to the Forum

Yep, filling the bolt holes helps reduce drag in the water.

Looking at your mods, you can fine tune your ski to extract even mrroe speed. Keep us posted on your testing an tuning.

Question thank you for your understanding and help

how else can I fine tune my 2004 GP1300R custom stage 2 any further? I you could give me some idea and objectives I woud chase them down and fine tune the craft to that. Just as long as it will give me a better top end speed.

Again thank you very much for opening up your heart and giving me another chance. That means more to me than you might think at this point in my life.

Looks good man, ive had my GP1300 at 75mph steady, so you can still push that thing alot!

BTW The free flow will slow down your top end speed, but it does sound cool lol.

Well.......we need Bill here!!! If some one one pissed him off that bad then he just needs to stay as a lurker and not post. There are hundreds of threads to search and answer almost anyones questions! This is a group of friends and needs to stay that way. Sorry for not remembering what happened but Bill is very helpful to this forum and brings a lot of knowledge and skill.....

    Wink response

yes I have changed considerably. I would like to care that all of you don't believe that. If you have forgiveness in your heart you will understand. If you don't then the lord will judge you for your comments, not me.

I simply was asking a question, I don't know what is wrong with that. I send my love to you and the lords understanding. If you don't understand that then please don't post reply, thank you
