be sure to check your FF clamps
one of my clamps broke off today and the ski started filling up with water quick. Luckly the exhaust fumes cut the motor before the water got into the intake.
this is the R&D metal type FF that you cut the 2 hoses with.
anyway check your clamps...

while your at it...make sure there is no debris in your waterjackets...I had a small piece of steel....God knows where it came from...clog up the bottom orface on the bottom of the stinger (into waterbox) last week....the pressure built up and popped the coupler (more like pushed) out from underneath the clamps. I am speaking about the rubber waterjacket coupler that connects the stinger to the front pipe. boat bogged for 1-2 seconds at WOT while I was doing a speed run....both #2 and #3 had to be honed and re-ringed....after 1-2 seconds....to bad water doesnt compress and ignite!!

Been there, done that - twice. Last time was about 3 months ago. Of course, it was the same day I forgot to hook up the negative wire on my bilge pump. I barely made it to shore before sinking.
