I guess that'll give you a "leg up" on the stockers, huh?

Hmm, my research in to this showed you only save around 30-40lbs, can use no more than a 13-18 pitch, and max out around 58-60mph.

Since the twin spools up quicker than the triple, you do gain stump pulling power and get up to speed quicker. Oh, and did I mention you save fuel, minus the extra cylinder?

    RIDE

Considering That The Wife Would Be On It At A Buck-oh-5,but I'm Curious As To The Hp Gain, triples Gain About 30hp,but The Twins Considering They Fire 180 Degrees From Each Other How Much Does The Connectted Pipe Really Affect Them As Far As Hp Vs Going To Seperate Pipes???ie 20 Hp Gain???15???hp 92 Domes Might Add 5hp???so 100hp Plus 20 Or 25???i Know The Mid Range Pull Would Be Much More Than Just The Stock Twin Throw In A 6 Vane As Well Maybe 58mph???

Since the twin fires 180* apart, and the stock exhaust manifold utilizes the return pulse more efficiently than the triple, I would estimate a 15-20hp gain. If that. That would only be due to a better chamber design, and a dedicated pipe, giving a stronger return pulse.

Agreed, midrange will definately benefit, and the wife might appreciate not having to holding onto a 160+hp launch.
It'd still be a fun ride though.

Regardless of what is possible on top, I think this would just be a cool build, and I have been wanting to do it for quite awhile, something about a twin piped hot rod gets me going.

I am a big fan of the older Lotus Esprit Turbos , light fast car and whopping acceleration all out of a little four banger before they dropped the V8 in it.

I like small engines that put out good power.

Is it not possible to make the Hurricane pipes fit in and SL Hull?

EDIT: whoops, I see your talking about a virage hull...I am looking into dropping it into an SL or a Pro hull.

I think Randy said somewhere on here ages ago that you can use two of the 1050 triple pipes. I can't remember which two he said though.
