    Putting new rings on a 97 sltx 1050

    can you change the rings on this ski by taking off the cylinder

    so you just take it off and chage them if everthing else is good

    Pretty easy. It is alot easier with the carbs removed, but is not necessary. Your exhaust manifold will need removed. Cooling bar, heads, then you can remove your jugs. Install your new rings, doing a good inspection of everything. Reassemble. A torque wrench is your friend.

    The cylinders need to be honed before you put it back together. The rings will never seat properly if you don't.
