    2007 RXT rpms

Hey everybody. I just got through my first weekend with my new RXT. I put 5, almost 6 hrs on it Sat and Sun. All I can say is wow. Im taking it easy for the most part for break in but I did get it going pretty good a few times. I love the acceleration when the supercharger is building its boost at the higher rpms. My question is....does the RXT limit RPM during the breakin? I hit 7620/7640 rpm and it wont go higher. That was on flat water too. Isnt it a 8100 rpm engine?? Oh...and what can I expect to be ripped off on the 10hr service, if anybody knows. Thanks.

check your oil level you should be around 7800 to 7900. mine ran 7600 with to much oil in it from the dealer. when your ski is warm or start it let it run for 30 sec let sit for 30 sec pull dip stick out and it should read in the middle of the2 marks.

My neighbor has a 07 RXT and does the same thing with 17 hrs. The oil level is in the middle after I did the oil change. Just low rpms, 7600, 7650 or so?

I just did my oil change too Im gonna need to check the levels because I ran a constant 7650 rpm's this weekend and maxed out at 64.2 mph im at 12hrs so Im praying for the RPM fairy to drop off a few more before shes broken in. Water temp was hot in naples so was air temp so will see..

    2007 RXT breakin

First of all i ran mine like a raped APE!!!. Break it in like your going to ride it!!!! This is my 2nd seadoo 4-tec, never had a problem and my skis always ran stronger than friends skis with the same model.

Anyway, my 2007 RXT 10hr service cost me $310. During breakin, my average max rpms was 7700-7800 rpms. The speedo said 70mph, but my gps said 65-66mph. I was told it should be up to 68mph...my ski wasnt broken in yet.

I think something is wrong if your ski cant hit at least 7800 rpm from the box?

DSmith1178; Depending on heat and humidity you may only see 7900-8000 rpm in summer, with low hours like yours give it some time, you're still in break-in and as I recall manual states no full throttle first 10 hours, just have some fun it's a great machine. Watch out for those 07 ceramic washers...

YoYamma: I thought the 07 seadoos had metal washers? They switched from ceramic to metal in 07. I;ll have to find the article. Thats not good if they are ceramic still..hope not! Thats bad news on how I like to ride

no you have ceramic washers get them out it is not worth the risk

and if you have a RXT or RXP that is only turning 7600-7900 you have something not right you should always be 8000 or more maybe down to 7900 after riding awhile and it is hot out but anything less I would not execpt,
