    75mph

What is it going to take to get to 75mph smooth water? I ask because the pulleys from R&D say solid 30-40hp but 1-2 mph up top. Is that the 1 to 1 or the highest ratio pulley?

I would like to hear your thoughts on this and get opinions on what it will take.

    Jason

I hate to bench race and I know weather, weight, and other variables make a difference, but it seems
air intake, exhaust, wedge, and rideplate get you around 68 on average in the summer.

If 30-40hp get you 1-2 mph what the hell will it take to get to 75?

Just in theory because that is all we have for now

I'm at 67.5 in the heat with intake, exhaust and wedge. I have not had anything other than rough lake chop to run on since I did the mods. I have the Riva plate coming (if they ever release it) With the plate, ram air mod and a few fresh air mods, I'm hoping to be at 70........ but who knows? It took all those mods to get me back where I was in the spring - 67.6 If I get to 70 in the heat, it will be interesting to see what myself and others will run in the cooler and much less humid Fall.

Beagleman, you are a full 1 mph faster than me. But I have not done the intake and exhaust mods. I do have Jim's ride plate. I don't think my dealer would handle the warranty if there was a problem.

it will take more of everything

more boost, more fuel, more cooling ability, more prop, more RPM`s more air, more time for development, and the biggest thing MORE MONEY like the RXT`s once you get to say 70 every MPH after that is hard and expensive

I think 75 is possible but there will have to be alot more mods developed and released first and start saving now

Speedwise 75 will be reachable, but then a possible question might be "what to do about the chine walk?" With high speed V bottom boats that have little or no play in the steering you can learn to out drive the chine walking. With a 11 foot PWC deep V hull the solution might not be that easy.

Rich, I agree with you on the chine walk. I know when my bass boats starts I can usually work it out. There is a big difference between a 20 ft bass boat and a 11 ft jet ski. That could get kind of harry.
