    Silly triple outlet pump Q

So I've seen this pic a gazillion times and never registered to me that my local mechanic that installed the kit for me did something different. On the PTO "feed" that jumps over to the MID on stock routing, and the MID "feed" that jumps over to the MAG is capped off in the pic. My mech. put a hose between the two. So you have the PTO trying to feed the MID and the MID trying to feed the PTO. Do you think this set up would hurt anything? It obviously works, I just wonder how well. Any thoughts guys. http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/atta...5&d=1175864653

I did this, and it really evened out the fuel delivery and needle settings.

Swap the #1 & #3 inlets. Run the hose like this. That way, the fuel and air cascade into the next higher carb and the return is where it is SUPPOSED to be on the opposite of the feed. Air can actually escape, since the mag sits higher than the pto. also, the fuel is forced to fill all 3 carbs instead of just trickling in and around, and back out the bottom, above the inlet. Got the idea from my Yamaha 1100 that uses triple 38 mikuni's and a single outlet pentagon pump.

Ok that looks to be a nice tip. No one sees this being a potential problem then, with the PTO and MID trying to feed each other from the same hose?

I didn't quite understand what you were saying before I think if you connect the 2, you you make it easier for the gas to flow out of the carb instead of bing forced out of the return line. probably not an issue 99.99% of the time, but if the pump is on its way out. . .

I think I'm going to block them off and do your trick to be safe.
