    Clunking Noise! Help

    Well guys I just found out that my 94 polaris 750 sl is out of commision, my boyfriend and friends killed it. We just got the pair and I hadn't even got to take it out yet. Died in the water, toed back in, now a clunking noise. This happened yesterday I was told 5 minutes ago. Not happy, any clues? I could sure use some help! Trading Boyfriend for motor!!!!!

    piston broken ?,con rod same? .Sounds like you need some tools and have an investigation .

    Have you heard the noise? Can they discribe it better.Can it turn over. Does Ex Boyfriend know How to turn a wrench? Were are you located at? We need a little more info.

    Thats what I was thinking, Thank you. No more riding for him cause I will be taking his. I will probably be working on it soon. I will need more help I'm sure. I hate the fact that we just pull and put back in his motor. I guess I will be really smart by the time I'm done. Thanks again

    Yes it turns over and it starts, but sounds like a knock, checking compresion now. He thinks connecting rod or piston pin. but knock is pretty loud.

    Have him pull the pump and driveshaft and then start the craft, is the noise gone?
