New Battery and I Get NOTHING!

I put in a new battery and I try to crank it and I get absolutely NOTHING! Is there something wrong that I am doing or what could it be? THe previous owner said that the ski started up fine last year and that there was an electrical problem that would cause it to cut out during use but that it would start for him. Now I can't even get the damn thing to start.

What could this be? I topped off the oil, put in fuel, sanded the terminals, charged the battery as long as I was supposed to, I am a newbie and out of options. Someone please help! I would even be so inclined to pay someone to come help me in the Cleveland area. I want to get this ski out on lake Erie soon before the summer is over. PLEASE HELP!

check the fuses, follow the positive side of the battery to were it goes. it should go to a fuse panel and a starting solonid. make sure the fuses are good and the solonid is good.

    Please excuse, I gotta ask

Did you charge your new battery? I'm not saying to be a smart ass.. You must charge new batterys after filling
