Be sure to run good octane with that OP head, they like to induce detonation.

I was on the phone with Sharp's today already. They'll be getting a shipment real soon. Those guys are so cool and helpful it's unbelievable. I know they're busy and they took the time to explain the problems Wiseco pistons have and what I need to do to correct it. Not even trying to make a sale, he told me to go locally for service. I know better though, my stuff's off to New York.

Just for poops and giggles I threw the Wiseco .71 on the food scale and got 265 grams. Then I put a Polaris .25 on the scale and it was up to 300+ grams. The forged are much lighter. But they don't tell you much important info with them. They tell you .004 piston to wall clearance and that's it. This exactly what they wrote for ring eng gap. Recommended end gap is usually .004" per inch of bore. (Example: end gap for a 3" bore would be .012") Additional end gap may be necessary for modified engines. (May include head/cylinder work, aftermarket exh, and etc.) Guess you're on your own when it comes to gapping Wisecos.

It's going onto a SL 750 decal hull. But she'll be a 780 with some goodies on her. Not sure on pricing yet, depends what all needs to be done to make it work.

Nice. I've been wanting some good competition. Unfortunately, mine is in an SLT hull, so I lose some speed on you. Guess that means I'll just have to go for the 793 bore to make up for it. hehe

You should be very pleased with that setup. It is mean as hell.

Thanks for the input Jonjon. She'll be sporting 44mm carbs, V Force I reeds and a PSI dry pipe exhaust with the PRO 785 CDI. And out back will be a SS 6 vane on a long pump.
