    spacers between SC and motor

I have done several ceramic to steel washer changes now and today I came across something I have not before. On a 05 RXT there was washers between the SC and motor. Why? I am refering to where the SC mounts to the motor.
I have done 4 RXP's and two RXT's and this is the first time I have seen this. Now this RXT had blown the ceramics and was rebuild by the dealer. Has anyone else come across this?

The 03 S/C's needed spacing out when the upgrade shaft kit was fitted. The kit came with 3 washers about 1.5 mils thick that went between the s/c housing and the pto cover on the bolts. Shoudn't be on an RXT though

the only thing that comes to mind, is if the SC had been replaced with an older housing. If this is the SC that the 05 ski came with than that`s really weird!...PR...

ya I am not sure if this is the original housing. not my ski. My brother in laws , brother.'s ski. (thats a mouth full) Like I mentioned earlier its an 05 RXT that had the ceramics fail at 3-4 hrs. It was rebuild and not sure if the original SC housing was used or replaced. The SC has the 06 style lock nut though.

what color is the housing? only 03 and early early early 04 SC housings need the shims... and they are all red SCs

there's a part # on the housing... u can also decipher which housings need the shims by looking at the part #

The housing was black. I have both 04-05 washers and 06 washers. The 06 had too much play and the 04-05 fit perfect. Weird. It's as if the lock nut was replaced with an 06 but it's an 05 SC judging by the way the washers fit.
