I really dont wana drill a hole in my ski, I got the free flow pipe and it sounds great, what are the advantages to the thru hull, would it make that big of a diffrence in power??

It doesn't make that much difference in power, but it more than makes up for it in sound. If you heard a thru hull exhaust you would know what i mean. Power Pipe has a harsh resonance sound at 3-4000 RPM's that i find unbearable. The thru hull has a nice mellow "hot rod" tone to it.

Drill the hole, you'll be glad you did.

That moan is caused by the resonance in the pump cavity...You go through hull, that moan is gone...and your hearing is back

I'm cutting today. I just hope that template of riva's is on the mark!

Right now i'm running the stock hose but turned upside down & cut to accept the 45 degree SS elbow to the exit & it's loud at 3-4k rpm like the PPG res pipe.. It clears the IC but pinches on the 4" intake hose which is why i'm doing the rear exit.

    Yessir! Thanx.

It would only work one way unless I had a longer bolt. I had to turn it long way up & down instead of sideways. Is that how it's supposed to go?
I painted it black, put the right stuff on the plate, bolted her up & cleaned the edges.

After everyone talking about this you got me thinking about the thru hull exhaust now. The powerpipe I have in now drones like crazy between 2500 and 4000. can't hear anything if I am in that range.

What happens to the water drain line that goes into the bottom of the stock exhaust outlet? Will the new location correctly drain all the water out of the intercooler/exhaust?

Aftermarket exhaust thru-hull style incorporate a new water fitting to relocate the water drain that goes to the OEM outlet...
