    GPR 1300 2006 EFI troubleshooting

    hi,

thanks a lot for your valuable site. in trust riva products. I am running a water craft workshop and i have worked on many GPR's 1200 & 1300. i'v installed a new riva EFI fuel control part and after one try about 1 hour the engine was not starting. after troubleshoting i'v found that there is no spark. i'v canceled riva EFI and put back to orignal stoke and still no spark was coming from spark plug while crancking. while disconnecting OEM CDI connector i get spark. can you help me on this?

    my regards

The throttle bodie is not at idel posion when first trying to start the engine.
Fix what ever is causing that and it will fire cable too tight on a bind little rubber thingy in the throttle grip hanging out ect.

agreed, the throttle cable on the efi's ski's has to be slack or else it can cause a no fire /no start situation

Is that why my ski wouldn't start when I was giving gas while trying to crank it up? Is there a sensor that doesn't allow ignition if the throttle is partially open?? ('03 GPR EFI).
