Would this cause cavatation? (pictures inside)

Wear ring and impeller pictures. Really, really, really easy job.

Would this damage cause really severe cavatation. I was not able to move much past idle without major vibration (3,500-4,000 rpms or so)

What is the carbon seal, and can I get at it with everything already off the back end? Thanks for the replies.

Wear ring and impeller or just wear ring? thoughts?

    Cavitation???

New to the jetski world........purchased a 96GTI just to play around with to see if watersports is my thing.......having no trouble once up to speed but having issues getting there....when I hit the throttle I have high rpms but it doesnt 'take off'..........we kinda slowly get moving then it kicks in and starts running........is this the same thing you are talking about in this forum?

    Thanks for your help!!

Carbon seal is on the drive shaft at the through hull area - yes you can get to it with the pump removed. Go to microfiche to see parts breakdown.

That wera ring is bad & the prop has seen much better days. Replace the wear ring and have the prop repaired.
