    My daughter solo-ed the GPR!

My 12 yr. old daughter rode by herself on my old ski Lightnin' for the first time friday. Before you go jump on my case about her age and blah, blah. My daughter has ridden stand-ups, Blasters and my old GP but I adjusted the throttle cable so she could'nt go crazy. I have ridden many times with her on my GPR..we went to the back of a Bayou where there are no docks, no boats..no nothing.

There are buoys back there where we used to practice closed course, now they put buoys for slalom skiers.

ANyway she got on the GPR and began to run the buoy course, I told her do not open up....she rode for about 20 minutes, she did great. She did bust the throttle for a little stretch, but she did just fine.

BTW, Dustin Farthing began racing at 14 "I remember it well" so my daughter could possibly race in a couple of years.

    Just thought I'd share.

Way to go Mike. I have riden my children with me since they were each around 4. @ 6 years old, I let them take controls. @ 10, I have let them ride by themselves, with me on a ski next to them of course.
Their riding ability all comes from how well you teach them. You can trust in this, I feel safer riding on the water with any of them than any weekend ski renter, and some people who have riden skis for a while. My boys are a little hard headed and have a ways to go, but my 14 year old daughter can hang with half the guys on this forum. She does have her PWC license.
Puts a tear in my eye watching her hang off the back of my gpr with the throttle wide open.

I guess the dead giveaway to that answer would be...the first sentence of my post, I say, "My 12 year old daughter..", I don't know how to be any more clearer for your brilliant, legal mind. Einstein...I'll post some pics, I think there are some on here some where from February.

    fullbrainy is in the house.
