    Uh-oh Siliconeintakes.com IC is leaking.

I pulled the IC out to install my riva rear exhaust & when I pulled the tube to the TB off some water came dribbling out.

I'll pressure test it tomorrow to be sure but I guess there's no other way for water to get in there but through the core, no?

It might have been leaking all along for all I know & maybe thats why I was only seeing 8.5 - 8.8 boost with the Rotax S3 wheel.

Stock IC is going back on with the stock inj's too.
My slip is at 10ft lbs so it's good.

    Salt water riding?

Damn the man lookin to save money can't get ahead...

That I think is the first on the board. Makes me wonder if Meeper's set up is the way to go...

Are those IC's made in China?

These IC's aren't always made in China, but some companies do get them from there.

As long as there is no engine damage, don't worry about it. You can buy 4-8 of these before the expense matches those of a competitor..

I rode it in salt once & that was today. 56.2 miles worth of hard ocean riding.

It might not be the 1st leaker ...........yet.

I just put 35 psi of air for 10 minutes to the water inlet & plugged the other end & filled the IC with water & no bubbles came around. Maybe condensation? Can water get there from somewhere else? It wasn't much, just a few drops worth, like maybe a table spoon.

Fo Shizzle Fizzle, I can buy quite a few more & still be under the 600.00 mark.

Hmm, the pics of the tubes show some salt residue.

The tube with the residue is from the SC to IC the other of course is to the TB & it's clean.

Does this mean I have water intrusion somewhere? If so where & how?

    Danny,
    Got the PM, back atcha!

Is the residue on the pipe from the SC to the IC, or the IC to the throttle body? You could have gotten some water in the intake and fed it through the system, thus your residue...

GEEZ, you crank those pipes like crazy! Just for that, I am shipping you new pipes! That right there is causing your boost leak, saw it on JP's ski...

*****note to people, the pipes you see here do not carry the updated inner liner on the ends...New pipes are tooled with reinforcement inner liners, basically a pipe within a pipe....Non-collapsable!
