    2000 Slx Vs 2000 Pro 1200

Well I had had both of my skis out this weekend and noticed that my SLX is a lot faster than the pro. The SLX has a few things done to it but I think the pro just isn't running right or something. The SLX can go from 0 to 65mph (on the mfd) fast then climb to 67 or 68. The Pro only goes from 0 to 58 then climbs to 63 at 6590rpm. Is this the way it should be because the pro has different hull?

What impellers do they have? Are they the stock Polaris nu-jets, or does the Pro have a skat swirl on it? The Pro will always be a click or two behind the SLX, due to the hull, but it is a fun ride.

Both of them have stock props. I thought they would run right next to each other. Is there a better prop to go with on the pro? I really would like a little more on the top with the pro.

On smooth water the SLX should certainly be a few mph faster but your rpms sound low on the PRO...If bone stock I seem to remember that the R's should be around 6800ish on the SLX and I would expect fairly close on the PRO?

When my 2000 pro 1200 was totally stock it ran 6600rpm at 62mph with gps.

The Pro 1200 plows a lot of water. Much more of a V bottom than the SLX. More top end on the quick and easy?

    92 Octane Domes

7.5 NuJet (stock is 7.0 and the domes and freeing up the hull a little will allow the use of this)

    Aftermarket reeds

    HotSeat or eqivelent ride plate

    6 degree wedge

Be sure to keep your rpm's in the 6,600 range or higher.

I all ready have a set of V-Force reeds I plan on putting in it. I had a HS water box for my SLX but just now realized that it won't fit on the pro. I am low on cash right now so most of this won't get done until next spring. Thanks for the help.
