    Just got my tiny tach here are my readings

    here are my readings WOT 6870rpm could this be the reason why im only GPS'n 67.8mph? what rpms i should be running?

    most try to stay in the 7050-7200 range with the 05 and up skis.

    Thanks tan man, been waiting to see your results since I have the same ski with similar set up. Sounds like too much prop. Maybe some compression will help turn that 14/20 screw.

    And let Jim or Carl mod that plate for another 2-3 mph.

    Also is that grate an 800 or 1200 grate?

    In one of his previous posts he said it was a 1200 grate. An 800 would give more speed and more RPMs but more cavitation on holeshot.

    When cavitation on holeshot does this damage your ski? Or you just bogging out the hole?

    It can trash an impeller and wear ring - it could look like 80 grit sandpaper after a while.

    I had some pics posted a while back - do a search for cavitation burns (or similar) you will find some good info that others helped me with.
