Thread: RPM LOSS
07-30-2007, 12:56 PM #1
Myself and injected2stroke have all the same mods, and the 2 boats have always run the same speed and rpm. Yesterday for some reason mine lost 50rpm. What might have caused this?

Ding in the prop or stator ?

Maybe just the gas ? Did you both fill up with the same gas or different stations ?

No ding in prop or stator, we both filled up same station.

What do the plugs look like on each?

They all look the same in both boats, grayish and dry. Piston wash is Rich. Not sure about the grayish color, we think its because we are mixing extra oil with the gas Amsoil Intersepter.

Doesnt the gray come from water ? I am not 100% on that but gray plugs isnt ideal

You sure he not messin with ya from when he put on that smaller prop and gained rpms?

I'm sure, I helped him change the prop both times. That was just a test to see if we could gain rpms and not lose speed. Lost speed!

I'm assuming you checked that the PV's were opening correctly?
