    Riva powerfilter questions

Im installing the Riva Power Filter tomorrow is there anything I need to be aware of? Any tips to make install easier? I read that this is somewhat a difficult install. Whats up with the fuel straps giving so many people trouble? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I would get someone to help with the straps, they can hold one side of the strap from the storage compartment side and you can go in from the seat side but when it comes to mounting the bracket thats just a pain in the *&s!

Also, when you are taking out the stock airfilter, take your time!!! There are wires and hoses to the fuel tank that seem to want to attach itself which may get caught up on the air filter while removing, even after you cut the tabs. Don't keep pulling assuming they will come free, sort them off first. Yes, that stock air is a B**** to remove, but not difficult by any means.

I would visit a local DR .. one that is repuatbale and see if he can surgically shrink your hands for and hour or so ... if so u will be fine ..otherwise prepare to say .. *&*&&*) atleast 3 times

You might also want to ask the DR. if he can also lengthen your arms about a foot or so. Like Crazed said for an hour or two should be fine.

as far as that PAIN IN THE ASS front mounting bracket.... i DID NOT put the bolts into the power filter. What i did was just drill the holes out bigger in the front mounting bracket and thread a tie wrap thru the holes and then cinched the tie wrap tight around the power filter tube. It holds it in place very well and I don't have to remove the complete tube when working on my ski such as removing the supercharger, etc. The tube just rotates up out of the way.

I was lucky to be able to mount the power filter tube to the bracket the first time. Or at least I thought I was lucky. If you have to remove the SC, you have to remove the tube from the bracket. So the next time I went with Hulk's design - zip ties. Not as fancy or professional, but far more practical.

i just used a regular zip tie, but one long enough to wrap around the 3" diameter power tube.

I really don't have any pics of this.

what tabs are you talking about?
