    D-plate questions

Looking to buy a D-plate and cat sensor chip..

I've been hearing about doing some mods to the d-plate, and orientation advice..

Is there a plate I can buy that has the mod already done?
Is there a sensor chip that's any better than others?

    2001 XLT 1200

I've got the R&D i believe. All depends on what setup you want. It is an easy job. Depending on the year you won't need the temp sensor, just wire in a resistor to the circuit.

    IMO use a stock R&D D-plate on a stock 1200

Thanks WFO, thats the kind of information I was looking for!

Looking on R&D's website, I see part numbers:

    Pt # 332-12000 for the D-plate
Pt. # 802-12001 for the sensor chip

Are these correct? They show for the GP1200R

you won't need the chip just put a resistor, i am not sure what size my 1300 was a 1k.

I got the RIVA d-plate in my 2001 XLT's. I also put the chips in. for ~$15-20 I'll just go ahead and get them. I have a pile of resistors here, but blehh...

I also got automotive oil drain plugs to go into the temp sensor on the exhaust

just change my d palte on my GP1300R 06...Took it out for 10 min.. and had the heat sensor beeping and the flashing on the display.. Is this because I need the cat chip????

Took my mates chip and put it on and it kept beeping... Might have installed the chip on the wrong spot... I pulled out the top exaust heat sensor and put the chip there..
