    Batteries, deep cycle, regular???

Are our stock batteries deep cycle or just a regular battery? I am assuming deep, but want to make sure... Thanks.

Doc, I`d have to say that they are regular acid/plate, thinking that they don`t really get pulled down low continuosly like deep cycle batteries., but I could be mistaken!?
are you looking to replace battery?
    Oddy 925LMJ is what I use...PR...

Thanks Andy, yea, I am going to go with something with a little more reserve. I might go with two batteries with an isolator switch. Going to take a look and see what I can fit. With the stereo sub amp and now the second amp, I am killing the stock battery. I want one to run and one to listen...

Does that battery fit in the stock battery holder?

You should use a deep cycle for use in a marine application. An Optima would be ideal. Lot's of info on them here.

the oddy is a little shorter in height. otherwise it fits nicely in the rubber mat. I added a plastic shim under the stock hold down bracket. Stereo huh!
can the charging system handle 2 batteries?
I believe the stock batter is 30amhrs and the oddy is 28amhrs. check out the site for the specs!...PR...

Yea, it pounds... Check it out post # 4 http://greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=29980

Looks like it is also 30 amp hours. I would only let the charging system handle the 1 keeping it isolated. I would run till dead with the stereo then charge at home. I was thinking a second D51 yellow top optima possibly...

I am going to work on this tomorrow. Def going to get one of the Odyssey's tomorrow to replace the stock, spec are great.
