Fort Pierce, Vero Beach area jet boaters?
I am boating at Jaycee Park in Fort Pierce, FL. It is not bad...but after 1 hour my wear ring and impeller needed changing. I sucked up some crap. I am looking for a deeper area in the intercoastal nearby where I can actually hit top speed for more than 6-8 seconds before having to spin around the other direction.
I am a little fearful, honestly, of taking my single engine boat ('07 c180) into the ocean without another boat along with us. Plus, I am not sure how this boat will handle bigger waves.
Anyway, does anyone here boat nearby and have any sugguestions (lake, better area in the intercoastal, etc.)?
Thanks guys, I will be swapping in the ss wear ring and a 13/18 Solas later today thanks to the great information available on this forum.
