    Welcome to the Hulk.
How many volts at the battery while cranking?

I agree with beerdart, check the voltage while cranking with a volt meter. Should read 10+ volts while cranking.

If the voltage is good I would test the coil and the stator next. The testing procedure should be in the tech section under domestic electrical.

2002 polaris virage i no spark

I charged the battery and replaced the plugs and it started right up. Then went for a test ride and it died again no spark. I checked the battery and it has 10.9 v while cranking .

Check that the system is charging need to have 13.5 volts or more on Voltmeter whilst running .If you have that then youll need to load test your battery and replace it if it fails .

Could be the stator getting hot and breaking down. I would test it when you are having the no spark issue.

    2002 polaris virage no spark

Having the same issue. I have a manual and did the check, I tested the stator and it showed it to be bad. So it was replaced with a new one. And still NO SPARK. Any Suggestions?

Have pulled up previous post and done the check am I missing anything, what is the most common problem, if its not the stator?

Check the stator using the 9 volt battery procedure, I've seen more than one defective new unit.
MAKE SURE the battery is GOOD, user a jumper if need be, just make sure you have sufficient cranking power.

I have two 2002 Virages that quit firing. It was ythe CDI box on both. Check the stator and everything else, and if everything checks OK, replace the CDI box.

Don't discount the coil pack either, rarely have I seen one go bad...but I have. The testing procedure for the coil are in the tech section as well as the entire ignition testing procedure for non spark.
