HOLY $HIT!!! I love SOLAS!!!! great results
I've never made so many phone calls and been so proud to be a seadoo owner... i was out on the water giggling like a school girl and patting my baby tellin her job well done! After every run, and after every gallon of fuel i burned my speeds kept climbing, and i kept having to call Jay on the phone everytime i broke a new speed
47 degree water
58 degree air
4" slight chop, PERFECT
2 bars of fuel
Mods: 4" air intake straight to the SC w/ Todd's clamp, Riva thru-huill exhaust, pump wedge, NOPAS, and the part that made ALL the difference.. Solas 14/19 that that previous owner told me was repitched to a 14/18.5 with a skat race finish on it... 95 hours on machine, original clutch, not too shabby, haha
71.2 mph @ 8100 rpms !!!!
not just a spike, not just a max speed... both boxes on the GPS (actual speed and max speed) were dead on and held even at 71.2 for about a 3/4 mile stretch
yesterday was about 68.5 but was pretty rough conditions
I'm gonna find it hard to ever let go of this prop, i attribute a little over 2 mph gain to just this prop alone. i was pretty impressed that my bigger RXT was able to flind the "14/19" with such little mods, but the ski really is haulin ass and breathing nice and sounds so great.
SHIBBY <--- Exstatic (spelling?) Seadoo RXT owner!!!!!!!
Now it's time to start working on the intercooler and new ECU that i have here to install still

Now how do U feel about your comment in the other post. Remember, I think You said you felt like you were chaseing all the RXPs. NOT now. That is DAM awesome. Just imagine the IC...

SHIBBY--Great results. all you time and effort have paid off. With the other mods you should be close to 73mph. Thats mov'in for your boat. Bring it down to the Mud Bug in June. Again--nice job.

i have been trying to tell you guys that the Solas props are the bomb!

Wow!! nice and you got this speed without the IC wow.
I'd like to see how it turns out with the IC and some 80-90 temps.
Does a 14 leading edge give more acceleration than a 12.5 ?

You were probably hitting the rev limiter before and didnt know it .
Good to hear :P

quite possibly Dan... that's a pretty big jump in speed from the stock prop to the solas.. and i was usually running 8150-8200 with stock prop.. it was flickering back and forth fast between the two.
now with the solas she gets up to 8050 in a hurry, then another second later gets to 8100 and stays pinned there
i might test the intercooler and ECU jstu to see how she does, but nothing permanant... going to to some hull tuning, rideplate, grate truing, etc and still throwing around the idea of a big SC mod like the B kit

Just as I thought I went from 19 to 18 and that was a little too much I was on the limiter. So the 18 1\2 is just the spot to be.With the intercooler and ECU you may have to go back to the 19.
