    Speedo accuracy

I've had my ultra for 1 month now. It has 25hrs on it now.
At idle speed >no wake zone speed< my speedo show zero. But i know i am doing 2-3mph like my friends sea-doos show.

Then on top end it only indicates 56-61 mph.. never show like 64, 65, 67..
but my top speed recorder shows 70mph was my top speed @ 7450 everytime.. rough water or glassy.

I ran a boat and on his GPS he shows 64mph. I asked my dealer to check it last week and they said they did. It either does work or doesnt. Theres nothing they can do to adjust it.

Also my friends new sea-doo GTX limited 215hp ran dead even with me..every single race.. and top end he shows 70mph.

Anyone else have this problem? Is it even a problem? Why doesnt it ever indicate speeds in the 60's?

My speedo on both my skis read 3-4 mph slow at top speed.

John, spray a little wd40 on the wheel on the back. Mine was a little stiff and would not register until I got to about 10mph. After using a little lube on it, it work great. You can actually thump it with your finger and see if it frees up any after lubing it. Good luck

All speedos suck. Velcro a GPS on your ski. Cant go wrong.

Mine is amazingly accurate for a paddle wheel,, checked it against gps tonight, was 2-3mph slow at 20-30-40-50 mph.

It does have a slight adjustment, just loosen the 2 allen bolts on the paddle wheel assembly and slide it down a little bit, it only has @ a 1/8 to a 1/4 inch adjustment, but it will work.

    speedo vs GPS

Mine was speedo 54 and GPS 59.4, sea-doo will read 10% high seems like the Kawasaki reads 10% low.

Mine shows anywhere from 67 to 70 depending on load and fuel.
