Garmin Etrex GPS Mounted On Sportster With Ram Mount (Pics)
Finaly got the Garmin Etrex GPS mounted on my Sportster tonight. I used the Ram Snap-Link Mount#RAP-SB-178 & the Ram Holster for the Original Etrex #RAM-HOL-GA5. If you have the Garmin Etrex with color then you will need a different Holster cause the Color Etrex Units are slightly different.
I chose this mount for the nice low profile look cause some of the Ram Mounts can be a bit bulky. It mounts with a good holding adhesive pad that is nice and solid. I also mounted the carry strap that came with the Etrex as a Saftey lanyard on the Holster just in case it desides to fall overboard.. Here are some pics of it mounted on my 06 Sportster. Can't wait to try it out tomorrow!

155 HP Sportster GPS Readings From My Trip Today
Used my New Garmin etrex in my Sportster today for the first time.
My Top Speed With me riding solo was: 48.6 MPH at 7100 RPMs
I'm realy surpised I reached 48.6 MPH with the Super Hot Wheather today.
The Dream O Meter is only 2 MPH off from the Garmin etrex GPS so not bad for a stock speedometer.
Water Type: Salt Water
Water Condition: Light Chop
Water Temp: 75* degrees
Air Temp: 91* degrees
Humidity: 64 %
Wind: South West 10mph
I had no trouble reading the screen on the Garmin etrex in the bright sun like some of the reviews said. The Ram Mount worked out excellent also.
I highly recomend this GPS Unit for those looking for a basic GPS
