Drive Shaft Removal Tool
Man, the new drive shaft removal tool is radically different than the old version. Now I have to figure out how to use it. I'm guessing that's not a kick stand attached to it

thats easy, can tell by looking at it. Ok, here goes.....u put the u-shaped part of the tool on the "hat" w/ "kickstand "facing front of craft. Looks like it lines up with and pushes the motor(becomes fulcrum) and in turn pushes hat back to get the magic clip out.................

if u are wimpy u might need it......its too easy to grab w/ both hands and yell to someone "hey, can u get this damn clip for me, my back is killing me!" where do I get 1?

That's just about right. After yelling out eeeeeyyyyaaaah like the girls at Wimbledon, I got mine out.
Question though. After it has been finagled out, should I just buy a new clip? Doesn't look like it has been damaged...
