Which to buy. 155 HP GTX or 155 GTI SE
I have a 2002 GTX DI now. Runs 54 GPS, and very stable, so the wife loves it. I'm looking to buy a new ski, and I can't quite swing the RXT. So I'm looking for input from anyone that has one of the above skis, as there is about a $1000 price difference between them.
Top speed for both
DIfference in stability for both
why the GTX is so much more than the GTI-SE
any and all info that anyone could give me would be appreciated.

GTI is made cheaper... little more flimsy in certain ares.
the GTX is bulky and quality...
the color schemes speak for themselves...
GTX handles rough water better, is more stable, and has more storage...
the GTI is a little faster in top speed and acceleration, not by much tho.. talking about appx 3mph, and it a little more playful
you just get more meat, more hull, more luxury and quality with the GTX... obviously same powerplant and same reliability... ur buying looks, colors, fit and finish and stability and rough water capabilites with the GTX
tough choice... i really dont know which one i would buy if it was me... i think if the GTI SE came in nicer colors, it would be an easy decision for me.... but the yellow/gray just is too plain for me

Shibby has nailed down the facts. But remember, its still a seadoo. The fit and finish on the GTI wont be ugly or bad. It will just be a bit "looser." Both are great boats. Id suggest going with the GTX is you have the money and like the color / style. If you are a bit more on a budget, The GTI will give you what you want. From what I have heard, the GTI is a bit more playful. Easier to put into a 360 and corners well because its lighter.

Based on the weight and the size, I kinda figured the GTI was a bit less stable. Now, my wife rides our 2002 GTX, and loves it. She gets on a friends 1998 GTX and doesn't feel as stable. Plus I find that the 2002 is a lot less easier to spin etc than the 1998 is. I'm wondering how close the 2006 GTI is to our 2002 GTX, or if its close to the GTI. Because if the 2006 GTI rides like the 1998 GTX, I'm going to have an un happy wife, which is NOT a good thing.

oh boy... ready for this one?
you have a green/white GTX DI or a blue/white GTX DI?
the 2007 GTX is the SAME HULL as your 2002 GTX DI.... a little fine tuning over the years, but pretty much the exact same hull with different cosmetics
the GTI is more comparable to the 98 GTX
sounds like the GTX is what u want

I had read about the washer issue with the SC. I even asked my dealer about it. Of course the answer I got was that they have NEVER seen this problem.
Have you seen this problem on skis that are ridden 99% on pretty calm water where the ski doesn't leave the water and spool up the SC? or is it just on skis that get air time?
How hard are these washers to replace?
and BTY, Thanks a million for the link!!!
