    Cheap F/A trick for SL780/SLX/SLT780

Looks like the top of the stock Pro airbox will fit on a SL780 motor and expose more of the air filter for better flow. Anyone tried this?

Oops, I just checked Partsland and they are about $95 new, yikes. I have some used ones and some new take-off ones I'll sell for quite a bit less.

You can use your existing cover by cutting the skirt off of it and that exposes the element for better breathing.

Yep, I've done that on a domestic before, they kind of flex and don't hold the filter as tight as before. The 785 Pro piece is made the right way from the get-go.
