Pump Tunnel blew out..! Q' of the day..?

ski started filling up with water and put the ski on the trailer, took out the battery tray and found this...

now here is the million $ question.. I had the dealer do the bracket upgrade since my ski is an 03.

I just dug out my YES warranty, and it ends JULY 23 2007!!!!!

what are the odds that yamaha is going to cover it??

Hello Jame's, Around here dealers try not to cover something when the ski is still under warranty let alone when it's a week or two out. I still would try and see what they can do for you, Hope it works out for you James keep us up to date.

You were running a big bore TJ ported monster without any pump tunnel reinforcement at all? After the warnings of even stock 06s failing with 20 something hours!

Don't think Yamaha would have done anything if it still under warranty.

Seriously, just get the R&D kit and be back on the water in a couple weeks.

    None.

You and P Wash should have known better.

The so called recall was for the pump shoe inserts. ALL high performance GPR's need the tunnels reinforced.

Glad it didn't sink on ya James.

The dealer covered mine under the YES warranty. The first time one dealer did a lousy job of replacing the brackets. When the Yamarep saw the work they covered the repair as well as installing the R&D tunnel kit.
The first 2 pics show what they found after removing the brackets; the other two show the area repaired, followed by the tunnel part installed.
