    ????????

    Is it a trick question..???

I'm sticking my scrawny neck out and saying NOPE you're fine..!!

Or have you seized and looking for something to aim the blame at..??

Do you have two fuel filters on the one line..?? i.e. sequential..??

As SMW says..!! no gas means no can go..!
Also i think i read on Groupk something about running out of gas then just stopping.. NO DAMAGE..!!
Unlike say a m/crosser that keeps turning the motor over due to wheel still going round..
which equals lots of heat and no gas to cool the motor = BANG..!!!

Any of this any help to you..?

    Gerry..

ps. hope you've not seized..... bummer

I would say if you run it lean you will have problems and this could occur as you are running low and sucking air and gas simultaneously. So once you are on the buzzer get that last speed run in and add some fuel why chance it?

If you are on premix - you are not giving the cylinders any lubrication when there is no fuel.
