74+ mph RXT after 65+ hours.

Since i put my RXT together in late May early April with a Riva S3 SC, 42lb injectors, IC and thru hull i haven't put a wrench to it other than to change the wear ring. Speed has remained for the most part 73+ in 88 degree water and 100 degree air but things still seemed a little sluggish so today i started to tear it apart. The SC slip was below 20 inch lbs which was somewhat expected. The other thing i expected as well was exhaust manifold erosion at the bell and sure enough its missing about 1 1/2" of the bell. Looks like i'll be talking to Mr. Friebe soon. The SC bearings have a very tiny bit of play front and back and side to side. Not sure if i should replace them yet though. For not running a catch can the IC is fairly clean. Alltogether i'm very happy with how this ski is performing and aging. 75 or so hours on it and i ride it like i stole it every time out. Now i just need to find out where to get some shims. Sorry for the crappy pic.

Unless I am missing something here, you are not missing any of the bell. It is just rough around the edges.

Now that some of these guys are going with ceramic bearings, you might be able to grab a pair of stockers out of somebody's rebuild kit for a song and just chuck 'em in while you got it out...

Well i ordered my shims, needle bearings, and stock ball bearings today. I don't really have the cash for the Friebe modded manifold. i wonder how long mine will hold out. Here's a better pic.
