    jet carbs on 1999 XPL

    hey guys. i have a set of riva F/A on a 951 XPL. the ski is running lean right now. i am changing the tempo lines but i also want to clean and re jet the carbs need help as to what jets to get

    just bought a stock race ski and found out that my lows are 120 and highs are 160..any comments on this setup...should i change ????

    Too little info...jetting is based on the setup. Pipe? Head? Prop?

    If keeping the accelerator pumps I'd run 90 pilots and 165 mains. Check out Ben's threads for reference too...he disabled his pumps on his setups.

    Bens Mods

    I am at phase one in Bens mods, I really don't have my carbs tweaked yet but just changing the jets to his stage 1 (if you will) has improved my performance %100. I know later in his posts he recommends going to a 90 pilot jet (small) and peeling the accellerator pump, but mine is doing 60+ on the GPS (STOCK) and NOTHING beats me out of the hole...Sunday (yesterday) I took a Kawasaki ULTRA 150 for the first couple hundred meters, and I beat a 96 XP that had $4000 in modifications to his ski. He was pissed when I told him I paid $4000 for the whole ski...

    And this is stage 1

    great info thanks to all...i just changed my fuel lines and cleaned allt he connections and the carbs and my XPL runs alot better than before i am just wating for the jets form bil oneal to be mailed to me and hopefully ill be doing some damage on the water. Those tempo lines are horible. talking about carbs i am thinking about changeing the fuel injection and going pre mix. have a little cunserne about the carbs, if i go pre mix could that eventualy block the carbs.
