Possible set up with US 91 petrol, help from Russia please?

    Dear All,

I live in Moscow and I'm an happy owner of a 2006 RXP with 80+ hours.

I would like to start modding but we have a very big consrain here...petrol quality.

I would like to do all the mods I can with US 91 RON petrol which is the one I can find on the lakes and has a stable quality.

Can you help me to put togethet a list pf mods, please?

Jerry...you are the guru...can you join, please?

    Thanks a lot tovarishi

Start off with some METAL WASHERS for the SC, that is the #1 thing you should do first.

Next, I suggest a Stage 1 setup, especially if US 91 is the best you can get. Any mod higher than that (SC wheel, IC setup, etc.) will require 91 and HIGHER for best operation...

Start there, and run that for awhile...

OH, and take some pics and post them....

It needs to be US (R+M)/2, which is (RON + MON)/2. At our pumps, it is always (R+M)/2.

RON is typically 5 higher than MON. So 91 RON would be labled as 88.5 at the pumps in the US. Our 91 at the pumps ends up being 93.5 RON.

So, I guess what I am saying is that his mods need to be targeted for US 88-89 octane rating.

I would say do mods that will either lower your octane requirement or at least won't raise the octane requirment signficantly such as external IC, aftermarket ECU and bigger injectors and then maybe a lightened valve train so that you can up the rpm. But, I would stay conservative on the boost. Maybe keep the stock SC wheel so that boost doesn't skyrocket with rpm. Just my opinion.

    WOT,

Here we have 95 ROZ petrol which is given as the equivalent of a US 91 RON/MON.

This is what I ment when I firts wrote. Is this changing the mod options I have?

Can I simply run a Rotax Racing A-Kit, with my petrol quality?

Thanks to all for your help,

u will be fine with a stage 1 and even the addition of the Original Riva/vortech wheel ... It is not nearly as potent as some of the other s/c wheels but it is a nice lil step up from the stock one So in closing You should ASAP add the s/c Washers
as in NOW .... and do a stage 1 kit with the addition of the Riva Vortech s/c wheel ... Good luck and send us some russian girls to PHILLY!!!

    Guys,

It seems the set up could be:

    METAL WASHERS

Riva Stage 1 + Water Box mod + Riva/Vortech weel.

Can I go for a RR High Boost weel or it requires better petrol then the one available here?

Whith the above mods should I go for a Solas 14/19 R not to hit the limiter and have better acceleration and top speed?

    Many thanks,

    Gionnik

What do you all think about him putting a Green Wheel in? Would 91 octane equivalent be ok to run? It doesn't make that much more total boost, but the boost comes in earlier. What do you all think?

    Yes Guys,

Please help me understanding if and which SC weel I can install with stock ECU and stock IC with the petrol we have here in Russia.

    C'mon Jerry, speak, please!

    Thanks to all,

    Gionnik
