Rough Water Closed Course Racing
Has anyone here raced the RXP in choppy waters (3 foot chops). I'm having a hard time turning the ski in the rough, specially without the opas but in flat water, it's not a problem. I am using the 1st edition worx sponsons and r&d grate. Do you think I should try changing sponsons to riva or r&d? Thanks!

I just put the Riva sponsons on mine. Handles pretty good in the chop. What a world of difference from stock. I dont know compared to WORX. I left my opas on for now.

Yes I am running the R&D grate along with my worx. I even resorted to putting a 1/2" spacer in between the sponson paddle and the mounting plate to move the sponsons out. It helped but the improvement wasn't that big. What do you guys suggest?

Would you take a Mercedes AMG on a mud track?
Guess not, well the RXP just isn't meant for closed course.

The RXP CAN and DOES handle fine with the rite combo ... People that dont own RXPs and Esc People that never driven the RXP shouldnt answer tech questions with opinions..... the best advice I can give u as and OWNER and RIDER of and RXP is this ;;;;;
these are 5 MYTHS that were so quickly extinquished you would have thought They never really exsisted IF you had FACTS ... you should take the time to read the whole list but these perstain to just YOU ....ENJOY and dont let NON owners feed you with wortheless opinions !!!!
18. RXPs suck in the chop (see almost any endurance race result from 04)
19. RXPs suck in the ocean (See ’04 LB2Cat results)
20. RXPs suck in closed course racing (See Cane Kahill's first place in last Pro class event)
21. RXPs are physically incapable of actually turning (See Cane Kahill's first place in last Pro class event)
22. RXPs are only good in straight lines (See Cane Kahill's first place in last Pro class event)
HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM ..Now if you actually go and look it up you will see the RXP is a GREAT machine and for the most part the bashers are JEALOUS

I ride with an RXP, in the ocean, it's not an ocean machine, period.
See Oleron results, first RXP was 12th, 10 STXs in top 11 and full green podium (multi Olerion winner joel Bontoux ended 4th on a Yamaha).
LB2Cat is a walk in the park compared to Oleron.
Now if I came here and claimed the STX is faster than the RXP on flat what would you say?
Using the same logic don't tell me the RXP beats an STX on the ocean.

Well 11 you can say the rxp is not meant for closed course but this weekend at the races I won novice 1200 limted on our rxp got the hole in both moto nobody even close and it was a full class well close to full class had 12 people on the line so it can be rode in closed course you just gotta change alot of things to make it handle

oh yeah and stan got second on it in expert limted and it was amy green that beat him but he stayed right on her but the hole race almost even passed her

What were the conditions?
What skis were you racing against?
